Director of College Counseling
I use the phrase “college home” as I want students to think about what they need to feel safe and excited beyond their future classroom. I use that same approach in my work: understand the big picture, pay attention to the details, and balance competing priorities. Through transparency, patience, dedicated support, and positive energy, I aim to make the college exploration process manageable (and even enjoyable!). During this process, students discover how they learn best, what they need to thrive and who they want to surround themselves with. I love watching them realize new things about themselves and determine how it can fit into their long term goals. I joined the Mastery School of Hawken after serving in a variety of college admission and higher education roles for a decade. As a first-generation college student, college changed my life; it brings me joy to support young people with their journey.
