Korda Institute for Teaching
Doris Korda, former associate head of Hawken and current CEO of Korda Institute for Teaching, is the principal architect of Hawken’s Entrepreneurship program and the signature MACRO course. Her curriculum is the foundation of the educational and instructional framework of the Mastery School, and Korda continues to work with our leadership team to help design our curriculum while training and coaching our teachers.
Mastery Transcript Consortium
The Mastery Transcript Consortium is reinventing how students prepare for college, career, and life through a new high school transcript that reflects the unique skills, strengths, and interests of each learner, rather than reducing four years of work into a single number. Our Head of School, Scott Looney, founded the MTC, and the Mastery School of Hawken is proud to use the Mastery Transcript and work closely with the MTC to reimagine assessment and college admissions.
We’re grateful to engage in a strategic effort to build meaningful relationships through convening a Community Advisory Board. This team of local leaders will serve as our compass as we strive to enter the community as a good neighbor. The CAB includes representatives of the following organizations:

ReDesigning School is a project undertaken by some of Hawken’s innovative teachers who’ve agreed to write about their experiences as educators and students themselves. The site houses blog posts, a podcast, white papers and other stories of how Hawken teachers on all campuses are redesigning school.
